Task 1
Your first task is to practise filming a preliminary exercise provided by Mr O'Brien:
This will allow you to :
- practise using software for editing
- realise the importance of lighting, storyboarding and planning accurately
- realise the importance of pacey editing and a range of shots
Task 2
You can now begin to storyboard your film. You should make sure that :
- you include a range of shots (CUs LS ELS etc)
- you include a range of camera angles (high/low)
- you include camera movement appropriate to your subgenre
- editing pace is approriately fast (no more than 5 seconds per shot)
- you may wish to limit dialogue as you are not working with actors
Task 3
Carry out a recce report on locations you will use.
Task 4
Make prop and costume lists. Explain how these create effective representations of character and setting and create mood.
Task 5
Make a filming schedule for you to follow and a shotlist.
Task 6
Plan out lighting required.
Task 7
Film your production
Task 8
Import footage and complete rough cut
Task 9
Show rough cut to audience for feedback and add to your production portfolio

Add postproduction in the form of sound/ colour correction/titles after carrying out necessary research into conventions of opening title sequences.
